MOSAIC: Our Ministries Manual

This manual is produced to help you understand the ways that we are currently seeking to implement this mission. Some areas are long-standing and thriving. Others need team members to strengthen them. Some are awaiting leadership and team members to have their start. The call upon each believer to grow and contribute as a member of the body of Christ is clear in scripture. (1 Cor. 14; Ro. 12:1-13; Eph. 4:1-16). May this guide serve to help you discover your unique place in God’s Mosaic, here in the cornerstone community.

So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God's household, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.

Ephesians 2:19-22, NASU

To Fellowship as Christ’s Body

Women’s Ministry / Men’s Ministry / Senior’s Ministry

These three groups provide target-specific ministry, activity, and fellowship through engaging studies, focused events and lasting friendships.

Coffee Fellowship

Pre and post service times of refreshment—spiritually and physically! Cornerstone is known by a membership that arrives early and stays late, a significant indicator that not only do we love the Lord, but we like each other as well!

Church Dinners

Cornerstone appreciates the regularly scheduled meals that grace our church calendar. The fellowship is sweet, the food is terrific, and the Lord is gracious in His provision of both!

Advent Services

An annual tradition at Cornerstone is the series of worship services that lead up to Christmas. These services feature some of our most beloved Christmas carols, candles, hand bells, and messages that focus upon the splendor of The Gift that was given at that first Christmas- the Lord Jesus Christ.

Easter Sunrise

The men’s ministry team coordinates this service and fellowship celebrating the Lord’s resurrection.

CCC Golf Club

For men, women, young or the young at heart. This weekly gathering during the long Michigan golf season is a great time to fellowship, exercise and experience together the joy and frustration that is “the links.”

Sr. Luncheon Fellowship

A regular gathering of our seniors for a light lunch, singing, devotions and fellowship together. Activities and projects are often a part of the gathering.

High School Youth / Jr. High Youth

These two groups meet for the purpose of growth in the Lord, growing friendships and reaching out to youth. Regular meetings include music, devotions, recreation and FOOD! Activities and service projects round out a fun and challenging schedule for our teens!

Maintenance Team Fellowship

Who said work had to be drudgery? This team meets weekly for devotions, prayer and fellowship, then tackles the great ministry of keeping the machinery oiled here on Constitution Avenue!

“Heading Out” Activities Team

Cornerstone has opportunity during the year to embark on trips and go to events all over the place! This team plans and coordinates those activities, so check out the next scheduled event and get on board!
